Watching the birds made me feel like taking a journey. The people, the landscapes, everything was imperfect but beautiful.

I do look down on you on a map, but if you're up in that Space needle, I'm looking up to you with a very strained neck! ;)

Hoping for a decent break this summer to head down to Seattle, furthest I've been down to WA so far is Blaine.  Pathetic, I know :P.

What's really pathetic is that I've lived here all my life, been to a lot of other countries and last Summer was my first ever visit to Vancouver, BC.

Now I don't feel so bad; I've only been here 2 yrs! Lol. Just seems like all my mates here have been to Seattle, I feel left out :P.

Hey Shan, When were you in Vancouver & were you visiting someone you know or just a tourist?

March a year ago, just as a tourist. It was the wrong time to go, the Butchart Gardens weren't in full bloom and it was cold and windy and even snowed a few light flakes, so the windchill factor was a bit much. We were surprised at how civil everyone was though. Here in Seattle you are lucky if they stop when you're in the crosswalk. I sure liked the bed in the hotel we stayed in, I should have looked at the brand of the mattress, I slept like a baby it was so comfortable.
