I've not been having an easy time of late (partly because of having treatment that's been stirring things up for me), which is why I needed to take a bit of a break from here, and from modding, and sort myself out. It's been good to do that, and to dip in here as and when I'm up to it.
But today I'm feeling very chirpy - I thought it was just possible I might get my surgery by the end of this year, but I just saw the doc at the gender clinic, and he told me I'm in line to get it by September/October! Very happy to hear this, as my dysphoria has been rising, the more my body feminises.
Of course it's not happening until it's happening, but it looks like the disbanding of the PCT system over here is a big help, as it puts the budget directly into the hands of the gender clinic. This means they don't have to wait to apply for it once I get my 2nd opinion, they can just refer me to the surgeon straight away, and then it's just a question of waiting lists.
