Good morning all from sunny New Zealand.

My name is Leanna and I am the significant other of my partner Andi who is transgendered.

I have been with Andi for over ten years now we met in Uni and I fell in love with her shortly there after. We didn't date until after Andi told me that she was transgendered and although I was taken back I loved her even more for being honest with me and giving me the choice.

We are 31 and Andi has been on hrt for 2 years now, and we have been approved for all the surgeries Andi wanted and will have them at the end of this year as well as a huge party.

Andi's parents are not supportive at all but we have finally gotten to the point where we gave them an ultimatum to back off or we would have nothing to do with them. My parents originally were upset but know how much we love each other so have given there blessing.

We have a beautiful miracle child named Sophie who has just turned 2 years old.

I just wanted to say hello after lurking for so long and share with everyone that I love my Andi and my Andi loves me and calls me Button hence the username.

My love for my Andi is eternal don't try to tell me otherwise.

Hi Leanna, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 9885  strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another SO.

And be sure to check out these links ( MUST READS )

Hi Leanna,

A big Aussie welcome to Susan's family, from across the creek. If I stand on Bondi headland and wave, I can nearly see you.  ;D  It's good of you to drop in and say "Hi". Hope you like it here, and you stay for a while.

There is a mountain of information, resources and friendship waiting for you here, you just need to jump in start talking and ask any question you like. You're quite safe here and we are very accepting.

Thank you for your introduction. You'll be pleased to know we have a special place for heroes like yourself. It's in the Significant Others room. Lots to learn and share there, with some outstanding people. I say heroes, because I believe, people like yourself have such a strength and determinationof character to push through some amazing boundaries to achieve a relationship that is unique. If that's not the hallmarkof a hero, I don't know what is.

Looking forward to hearing more of your story in time to come, but in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.

Lotsa huggs
Catherine
