Hey guys, i don't usually post on this side but i wanted to ask you all a few questions

What types of hormones do all take as part of your therapy? Do you take anything else besides testosterone?
How long before you all notice changes. Is it faster than someone who is mtf?

Also since your bodies probably have high progesterone as well as estrogen, I am wondering how that affects you.

What things do you find that are easier/harder for you vs a mtf transgender?

I don't think FTMs take any other hormones than testosterone. Or at least that's the norm in Finland and it's gel or injections over here. I've heard about pills, too but we don't have that option.

I don't really recall when I noticed the first changes but there were clear changes after the first 2-3 weeks. Then again, everything depends on the person and not so much on the form of T. Someone on gel might get changes faster than someone who's on injections.

There is no answer to any of these questions as everybody's experiences are different.

I will say that I don't take anything other than testosterone however some people may take something to lower estrogen levels.

I got all my answers to these questions answered the hard way.

The vast majority of us only take T. Most guys start having changes within the first three months.

I've had a hysto so I don't know the effects of estrogen/progesterone while taking T.

I do think transguys have it a lot easier than most MTF's. A good 99% of us easily fall into the woodwork after a year of T. Transwomen do have it easier on the surgical end though.

I only take T, in a gel form. Gel takes longer to act than the injections because it's a lower percent of the hormone  but i believe it makes for a more stable hormone level in the long run than injections.
I've been on for 6 months now. I've noticed certain changes but there are some things I still haven't had change. It's all very dependent on the person. Even though my hormone level is pretty stable at 25 (regular for cis-men ranging between 22 and 29) it's still taking awhile for things to change. Wish my voice would drop lol, I can't wait for my voice to get masculine...

Like what Simon said though, trans men tend to fit in quicker but we definitely don't benefit from the same ease of surgery that you ladies get.

I take Testosterone, of course, but also a hormone suppressor called Suprefact. It speeds up the process of the T, so my doctor has told me. I've been 5 weeks on T now and I am definitely seeing more hair on my upper lip. My voice dropped down half an octave overnight two days ago (that is rather uncommon, I heard, but hey, I'm not complaining ).
