This has to be one of the most addictive games i have ever played in my life. Totally been blown away over the quality of it.

Anyone else play it?

I do. Best "offline" game I've played in a long time. Offline is in quotes cause of that stupid Steam thing that makes my offline game require an internet connection. Darn DRM.

oh i know. It can get annoying at times.

Sadly, I got the game when it first came out --- I have yet to play it

I got it around release, played it to death for many weeks. I played it even though my GPU is either faulty or just increadibly crap, and made the game crash 15-20 times a day. :P

I have since "fixed" my GPU by underclocking it of all things. But I haven't played Skyrim for a long time now. Increadibly good game though.

Yeah. I hated it when I first got it, the map was confusing and the story didn't seem to be interesting. (I just played to the first dragon) Then I didn't play it for like 6 months. Then one day I just got bored and reluctantly gave it another chance and I got hooked lol.

I'm not playing it now though, there's not really any interesting quests left to do.

I own Skyrim but play Oblivion because my stupid TV in my dorm room isn't good enough to play it. The text is like microscopic and I can't read anything.

I played it religiously once I got it, then gave it away to save my sanity!

To be fair, I've played the games ever since Morrowind and each one has had me hooked!

I liked Morrowind, but it kept freezing up at random locations on me, so I really didn't spend that much time on it. It was annoying the crap out of me more than anything else.

Yeah I noticed this too and ended up upgrading my Desktop just to play it!

Whoosh! That was a burst of nostalgia! :p

Thanks Annah!

And, if anyone's interested, the first two games in the series (Arena and Daggerfall) are free to download and play

Yes, up until I'd run out of almost all but the Dark Brotherhood Quests, which I find creepy. Played it on a PS3, though, one not connected to the PSN, so it could not be easily patched, and I think it wound up destroying the hard drive on my PS3.  Beautiful game, though, and the addictiveness was part of why I kept playing despite the frequent hard crashes.

Oh, do I?

I have four characters and they're all past 40lvl, two of them are exactly 50lvl. I've completed the main story quest line with just two of them because the others still have other things to do, so to speak. :D
I basically have all kinds of characters - Orc tank, Khajiit assassin, Argonian mage and Orc berserker - but I seem to have some attitude problems against the human races. They're boring. XD

I'm thinking to make either a full-blown thief or a conjurer mage next. They just have their downsides in battles, though...

That's what followers and summoned creatures are for! And the ability to spot the ideal time to gtfo!

Now I'm going to have to check my main character's details (whenever I can even find the disc)... I've forgotten so much, but essentially I made her someone with mainly mage and archery talents... wood elf? And went through the Mage College quest line first. The character I lost when my first PS3 failed, I had made into mainly a female archer and I went through the Companions line almost all the way before starting the Mage line. I love the house in Riften, but I have mixed feelings about the Thieves Guild quests.

My son started with the Thieve's Guild and only gradually expanded to the other quests... In fact I should talk to him about where he has gotten by now, though I'm not sure how much he's playing still... He got way into Assassin's Creed in recent months.

:D I stopped playing it months ago, to save my sanity (I was beginning to see bandits around every corner  ;)) but my brothers have started playing it again!

I think I had a wood elf archer too, who was also partial to a spot of backstabbing. But as I was going from quest to quest, I would cast spells to raise those abilities too. She was eventually level 50 in no time!

I have a pattern I follow in these types of games. I start with the mage and get bored with it. Then I try the rogue and have loads of fun, before becoming frustrated. Next thing I know I have a mix of a warrior and mage, basically a paladin and that's the one I stick with. I've tried starting off with the pally type class first, but I ended up getting bored with the game faster. I guess I just need to know how the other classes work before I settle on my favorite.
