As a child I would sneak into my sister room to play with her Barbie dolls, I never liked the action figures that I got for Christmas. Whenever I took her toys she would drag me out of her room along with my brother. It was easy for them to controll me because I was smaller and weighed less then both of them, eventhough they were only one or two years apart from my age. From the top of the apartment I would scream and beg my sister to let her play with her dolls. Of course she didn't let me.

I hate to be refer to as a MALE, be addressed as a MALE, be treated as a MALE, be epected to be a MALE, be put in a group of male and be told that is where I belong, looking obviously like a MALE, and so on

Hello manyquestions! :icon_wave: I could be wrong here but I kind of suspect you may have gender issues. Welcome to the club!

I don't know a single one of out nearly 10,000 members that didn't begin by questioning their gender, or knowing someone who was questioning.  Fortunately ,we have a broad spectrum of transgendered people, significant others, and allies here.  You will certainly find anwers to your questions ... then you have to deal with them.

Hi MQ,

A big Aussie welcome to Susan's family. It's good of you to drop in and say "Hi". Hope you like it here, and you stay for a while.

There is a mountain of information, resources and friendship waiting for you here, you just need to jump in start talking and ask any question you like. You're quite safe here and we are very accepting.

I'm really pleased you have some very fine goals to work towards. However, if you were to just change those goals into appropriate positive ones, I will guarantee you rapid success. Just let me give you an example.

....." I'd love to be referred to as a woman, be addressed as a woman, be treated like a woman" etc, etc. You'll be amazed at the opportunities this will open up to you and how these ambitions will be realised. Worked for me. It can work for you.

Looking forward to hearing more of your story in time to come, but in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.

Lotsa huggs
Catherine

I am very confuse to why I feel the way I do. I did some internet search and came up with the term transsexual which seems right, but I am not entirely sure. What is the next step that I should be taking. Maybe I should tell my family or doctor perhaps?

Hi MQ,

That's a good start. Depending on how knowledgable your GP is on transgendered issues, may depend on what happens next.

You could take control of the matter by directly contacting a therapist who is very conversant with TG matters.

Be safe, well and happy
Lotsa huggs
