Could we have a thread to let others know about good deals on Laser Hair Removal? I see them all the time in the Dallas and Houston areas (those are the locations I subscribe to). I bought 6 sessions through Groupon for full face and neck for $249 and have had incredible results after two treatments. I know there are a lot of members here that struggle with the cost of LHR and it could help them quite a bit.

Otherwise, I encourage people to register for daily deals at www.groupon.com and www.livingsocial.com to look for great deals on LHR, photofacials, skin resurfacing, etc.  I apologize in advance if putting the website addresses violates any rules but I wanted to ask permission before posting a good deal that someone would find very helpful!

Groupon is a god send! I ended up with a very similar deal out near Chicago. $229 for six sessions.. since however I'm getting the beard done they actually added an extra session and the first two touch ups were included.. huge savings!

Groupon is AMAZING. Every girl like us should be aware of it.

If you have a lot of body hair and your medication isn't helping you out with it, you can really get your entire body done for $1,000-2,000. It sounds like a lot of money, but you pay each area at a time ($200-400) so it's something you can work up to. It usually takes 3 weeks before you go for another session, so if the average is 6 sessions, that's 4.5 months, so it can take a while to get everything done.

Or if you have the money, you can get multiple areas worked at once. e.g. You get a groupon deal for your face and your arms and they work on both areas at different locations (you usually can't get a groupon deal for the same place more than once).

Of course, it's worth noting that your skin's fairness and the darkness of your hair plays a role in all this. In any case, this thread was an awesome idea. Thank you for spreading the awareness, JessicaH.

P.S. I'm from the Boston area. I find 10-15 groupon deals for LHR every time I look on the site. I hope most others have this kind of luck.

I'm getting my face and neck done through Groupon and it's been pretty awesome so far although it turns out I had way more coarse white hairs than I thought!  I'd suggest trying to find a deal that allows unlimited laser sessions on the area for a given period of time. Mine is for 2 years and I'm glad I did it because that way I won't have to pay extra for touch-ups.

Regarding the groupon above, definitely skip it. I know many already knows this but you want real laser and not IPL if you can help it.  IPL is great short term, but as far as long term not usually and not nearly as successful as laser.

And some groupons aren't even as clear as that one about it being IPL. Sometimes places advertise that they do laser but it's actually pulse light so make sure when you look at groupons that you know which one is which. I wrote this, hope this helps....

(i'm not spamming, i just don't want people wasting their money if they have a choice, or to at least know the difference before they buy one, i've been there and gotten sessions of IPL and i've had laser too, laser = much more successful long term.

I went through groupon to get my laser done as well. I've been wondering though, did anyone's laser deal differentiate between full face and neck/jaw line. Mine did and I ended up having to get a second one to cover it (luckily from the same place), but I was wondering if it was common or just common in my area (as other laser deals mentioned the difference as well).

That said, I got full face, 12 sessions, for $1,875. The hair is like 95% gone, probably more (the jawline is just being difficult). For any hairs that remain, I just plan to get electrolysis to finish them off.

But yeah, groupon is awesome. If you're looking to burn some hair, it's definitely worth checking out.

Where I go they count it all as part of removing the full beard.  So I get neck, jaw ect all rolled together.
