Face changes on hormones-

Hi, so I was curious when the first time will be roughly when I will notice actual changes in my face due to hormones, I'm at about 4 months and I haven't noticed any changes, I know it's a long process, I was just wondering what others had noticed for this and when it happened exactly. Thanks for any input or answers, I appreciate it!

You probably already have some changes it just hard to tell when look at yourself everyday. Try looking back at older pictures before hormones then look at the most recent picture of yourself you will probably notice a difference. I was just today I was looking at a picture of myself five days before I started hormones and comparing it to picture of myself from last week and I can see a difference in my face and I've only been on hormones seven weeks. I haven't realized my face had changed as much as it has. I'm still not passable but at least I know I'm making progress.

I really can't answer other than to say that I was on them for about 6 months several years ago and the only changes I noticed were in skin and sex organ functionality.

You don't have to hate cameras I think I look terrible in my photos but I am starting to see an improvement in the way I look. Which helps me when I'm feeling down and think I'll never pass all have to do is look at one of my better shots and feel better about myself.

Heather: I went back and looked through photos over the last 4 months and maybe there is a tiny bit of change but honestly I just think it's that my hair got longer but I will definitely keep checking back and forth and I still think you look great!

Emily: I've definitely noticed those changes for sure over the last few months.

Alaina: You changed a lot over the year! I definitely saw the most change from 7 months - 1 year mark, and after the end of the year, you look like a normal passing female!

Albina: I've definitely noticed the softening of the skin as well overall, but my face doesn't look noticeably different yet in my opinion, and congrats on going out completely after 4 months of hormones, I hope I get there soon!

By the fourth-fifth month I looked cis but I had neotenous traits beforehand so I just needed a little bump. Usually facial changes occur at the 7-9 months mark.( Just look at YT transitions you'll notice the main changes around that period)

As you can see from my avatar (and my FB page for those of yall who friended me), changes are still happening too. I'd say the biggest changes after nearly 1.5 years has been between the 12th and 16th month. At around 16 months I only needed concealer to cover my remaining facial hair in order to pass.

I noticed changes in the 6th month just looking at pictures. Here is the picture I posted last week in the before after thread that has each month side by side. In reality I think there is small changes every week. I would recommend that you take at-least 2-3 pictures a day of yourself just to record it. This will really help when we have our low days. Its a great confidence builder too seeing where you came from to today. On a side note. Keep in mind that you have to have patience. This journey doesn't happen over night as much as we wish it would. There is lessons that need to be learned each day in transition I feel that help us develop into who we are tomorrow.

I would say I really didn't notice changes until about 7 months, mostly because the changes are so gradual you rarely ever notice them. Truth be told, I wouldn't have noticed them then if a friend hadn't pointed out some changes from the picture on my driver's license. But yeah, less pronounced brow, fuller cheeks, slightly thinner nose, softer skin are the most prominent changes.

I noticed changes in the first month, mostly to my skin.  I've said elsewhere, and it's true, it took about 3 years before I stopped looking like a different person every three months.  It is a slow but steady process, with subtle but substantial changes.  Patience!  That's all I know to say.

I thought it was interesting she had a pic at 7 months that said "first time in girl mode". Was that really the first time? Don't answer that. I want to go on living knowing that the reason my self esteem also takes a hit is that I started doing it before hormones

Every time I think I might need FFS I look at cis woman and I go "oh they have that too"

I work with a woman that has the exact same hairline as me and she doesn't give two craps because she wears her hair back all the time.

I think we look at little "masculine" features and blow them way out of proportion while a cis woman may have the same features and never given them a second though because shes not worried about "passing," shes comfortable with who she is.
