I hope I fit in here and am worth having around, I've finally decided to join a few forums and this is one of them!

You can call me Lenore!

I'm still kind of shy about all of this, but I'm getting better. Welcoming me will tell me it's okay to be here and I need all the encouragement I can get these days...

Anyway, hello to you all (well, the ones who read this forum section anyway I guess) and I promise to be polite and, if possible, helpful.

Hi Lenore,

You are very welcome.

I'm Cindy and I'm in Adelaide, South Australia. The Aussies are more likely to one at this time.

So join on in and feel free to post and ask away. Do read the ToS in the announcement area, one of the girls will post a link soon.

And there is no reason to be shy.

You are with family now. There is no reason to be lonely ever again, your family and friends are here with you. And we support and love each other. You just have the fun to meet us all and we are very friendly!

Hugs and Welcome

Cindy

If I am not mistaken, Lenore was the name used in Edgar Allen Poe's, "The Raven."

I do love a good horror poem... <_<

Thank you both for the welcome, and I appreciate your sincerity, Cindy! I'm only "out" to a handful of people in real life, and am afraid of losing friends if I told everyone, so having more people to talk to about it all is a good thing for me, I think. My family disowned me years ago, so at least that's already out of the way, yeah.

I've been aware of this forum for a long time, and figured why not go ahead and join, finally.

I have a supportive partner, so it's not like I have to hide in a closet to post here...

Anyway, thanks so much for the kind words, and I'll do my best to earn the consideration you've so freely given me.

Hi Lenore, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 9984  strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister.

Thanks, girls, it means a lot to me that you've been so welcoming. Maybe soon I won't even be afraid to use my picture...

I see a lot of positivity here, a supportive community of like-hearted people, and I think it's beautiful.

I spend plenty of time on the internet, and a lot of what I see has dulled my reaction to people on the internet... but in the past two days, here and on the other forum I've joined, I've actually cried happy tears, and let me tell you, that almost never even happens to me in real life anymore.

I can feel it coming from you. And yeah, I'm crying right now.

But it's happy crying. I couldn't even make out the CAPTCHA for a second there, LOL.

Hi Lenore,

Another big Aussie welcome to Susan's family. It's good of you to drop in and say "Hi". Hope you like it here, and you stay for a while.

There is a mountain of information, resources and friendship waiting for you here, you just need to jump in start talking and ask any question you like. You're quite safe here and we are very accepting.

You my girl are indeed are very worth being here. This a family by choice; brings out the best in you. And what's more, you already fit in.

Looking forward to hearing more of your story in time to come, but in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.

Lotsa huggs
Catherine

The CAPTCHA goes away after a few posts.  Other aspect of the site will turn on for you after 15 posts.
