So, I got my blood work back from the dr and it looked like my T levels were a little low like in the 200's. Now, I'm on a full dose and the dr said I can up the dose if I want. I'm going on February 12th to see the dr. I was off T for like 3 weeks at that point. My question is, is the 200's really low? And could being off T that long make them that low? Thanks. Again, I'm seeing my Dr. Just wondering.

Oh and I'm back on my shots. I just had a little lapse because I moved.

I know we can't talk dosages, but can we talk levels?

I think on most medical scales, numbers under 300 are low for male-bodied people. But now that "Low T" is a marketing angle of the pharmaceutical industry, I'm not sure I personally trust the scale (because obviously the more men who could be diagnosed with so-called Low T could be new customers of the product). I think most endocrinologists do use the standard male scale for levels when dealing with trans individuals though but most also seem to individualize the treatment to a certain extent. In other words, what's low for one person (or a standard male) may not be if you're still getting the desired effects from it.

According to the chart I got from my Endo, yes, even missing one shot causes a dramatic decrease in levels. It makes sense that when you inject your starting point is low, it increases, and gradually goes lower again...that's when you take your next dose and the process starts over again. With injections there is never a steady dose in the blood.

Yes, 200 is really low. Not sure what level you had before the lapse in dose but if it was in optimal levels I don't know why your new doc would increase your dose. Did you notify him that you hadn't had a shot in almost a month?

I was about to ask the same thing.

And now I'm off to do my shot, two days late. I didn't forget...I just couldn't scrape together ten lousy minutes. Now I'll have to. ::)

Yes that's very low.  At 225 I got visited by the red death.

I did. I'm going on the 12th so I'll remind her. I also got switched to subQ and did my first shot of that last Friday. I'm doing it weekly. I hope to get my levels back up.
