I've been away for a bit and dealing with the effects of being way stressed out for a long period of time. I've been looking for alternatives to medical intervention to raise my hormone levels to more normal levels for one (for instance, my T levels were totally in the toilet from all the stress) and for just general stress relief. I happened to get back into qigong (I had brief forays into practicing it over the years but never seriously). It's definitely made a difference, in a short amount of time. I feel noticeably better, have more energy, I've noticed I've gaining muscle tone back, and I've only been doing 30 minutes of it every morning. I'd definitely recommend checking it out (plenty of info online on it as well as DVDs and actual instructors at many places) for overall health, stress reduction, gaining some balance in life, etc.
So recently I acquired some new books on qigong. There's a ton of different qigong exercises out there and there's a lot of different qigong massages for health of certain organs or aspects of the body. So I stumbled upon something called the Deer exercise. There's a male version and a female version. In general, it's said to nourish all the sexual organs and bring vitality into those areas. I can personally attest to the fact that that's not b.s. because it definitely had an effect on me. But it's also said to STOP shark week all together. Apparently this has been well documented. So I researched it a little bit and came to find out that just doing the regular exercise, for the regular repetitions can cure all sorts of shark week problems as well as doing the whole vitality/sexual energy boost thing. However, you increase the repetitions (I've read it's upwards of 80+) and do the exercise every day it's supposed to stop shark week from happening (I've read that it can take awhile though ... so you have to be pretty dedicated to give this one a whirl ... 2 to 6+ months). After researching though, it seems like it's no b.s. either, it's just a matter of being dedicated enough to do it.
Just thought I'd post this for anyone who's not on T and looking for alternate/natural ways of potentially stopping that from happening.
