My dog has gotten fat.  In about an hour we're going to go for a walk.   I need to lose weight and she needs to lose weight and we can't change the dog food because of the other two dogs.

We're gonna have a new employee at our construction department next week. Well, she basically moves from the wood works department so she isn't exactly new.
I'm just wondering how things will work out since she's deaf (god I don't like using that word).
As far as I know, she doesn't have a translator (is that the correct word?) with her and people communicate with her with the pen and paper method. That's just kinda inconvenient at a construction site. Then again, I was thinking if I should get a small notepad in my pocket just in case because I can only sign my own name and cat (and I'm not even 100% sure about that cat).

It's not that I'd have something against people with handicaps, the complete opposite actually. My aunt has worked with handicap people at least my whole life and now my Mom is working with them, too. I'm always irritated if I notice people staring excessively at someone who's in a wheelchair for example. Good grief, we're living the in 21st century, not in the dark middle ages...
I'm just pondering this on the general scale and sort of looking forward to it. It's a new experience after all. And maybe I can pick up some new signs, too. :)

I've swapped notes with deaf people on many occasions, it just requires a lot of patience and a little compassion. Good luck!

A lot of deaf people can also read lips to a degree, you just have to pronounce the words very carefully.  You can also try learning a bit of sign language to see if helps. :3  I'm sure she'll do wonderfully!  It might take some patience, but she'll probably do great. :)  Handicaps don't necessarily mean anything. *points to self :P *

Anyway...

I hate being asexual/mostly asexual in a sexual world. *kicks a rock* Makes me feel like I'll never be able to find someone who understands and won't want to go screw someone else.

I also hate it when someone tells me that monogamy is selfish.  And when that same person gets pissy because in a group RP I have a character that's monogamous.  Why does a roleplay have to be about sex?  Yeah, it's a sexual site, but not every roleplay has to be about it. *sigh*  I'm thinking about pulling out.  I can't stand the one of the people because he makes me feel like sh*t for what I believe.

Thinking about the day when I have to tell my mother that I'm getting top surgery.  That's going to be a very stressful day.

There might be a 1.5% chance I get T at my appointment next month. My endo really isn't onboard with it and it seems like she's going to lead my around the stable and through the woods before she writes a prescription. I might start looking for a new doctor when my insurance changes...

looked at some old pics of me pre-transition. Jeez I look so freakin miserable.

But I was comparing how much my face had changed and it really does seem to be a lot.

There's something feminine about you even in that pre-transition pic. I think it's the eyes.
My therapist might not specialize in gender issues but she's great to talk to, makes me feel better when I'm in a bad place or a good place or anywhere in between, like an old friend.

She has likely dealt with a lot of hearing people before so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just don't call it a disability, I promise you she can do everything a hearing person can, except hear of course. The term deaf is fine. As for communication, reading lips is hard for anyone to do, even the deaf. So I would not rely on it or even ask. Instead if it was me, I would have a notepad, introduce yourself politely and ask what mode of communication would be best since you don't know sign. ASL (or very least fingerspelling) would be beneficial to learn. Anywho that's all I have.
Watching the birds made me feel like taking a journey. The people, the landscapes, everything was imperfect but beautiful.

Yeah, it's hard, but some people are really good at it.  There was a lady at my high school that she only read lips unless talking to another person who knew sign language.  It was pretty damn cool.   Finger spelling is also good to learn.  I can do the alphabet and I can say "how are you?" and similar. >.>

I found an AMV I've been looking for and the main reason I found it was by looking for the incorrect lyrics of a song I like being posted. XD

There's an inch worm on my shirt and he's crawling on me.  I'm playing the wormy spongebob song because of this.  :D

There is an accidental incest app in Iceland.  It's because the majority are related there so it's kind of necessary, but at the same time...I'm dying. xD  It's so funny. xD

Edit:  I'm pissing off SasuNaru shippers. xD  I ship someone else with Sasuke and they're all "noooooo!  You can't do that!"  and I'm like "watch me".

I hope I don't end up arguing with the L&D nurses tomorrow. It's my last in-hospital clinical this semester and I'll do my best to be patient, but I've heard nothing but horror stories.

If they don't want EMT students there, why do they keep signing the friggin' contract?!?

Can anybody really trust a product endorsed by celebrity tv doctors?
Sometimes I blog things

Of course I'm sane.  When trees start talking to me, I don't talk back.

"Talk to your physician to see if this new medication to prevent bone loss is for you!"

The side effects are loss of vision,
internal bleeding,
liver failure,
loss of kidney function,
your dick could fall off.

WTF???  >:-)

Is that a downside?

For some it might be. I can't get past the idea that the pharmaceutical companies must think we are all stupid.

Just wish my body was a complete woman's after SRS & everything else. Going shopping today & would just like to mix in normal with all the other girls/women. Passable but not 100%.
