Search only returns really old posts

Why does searching only return results from 2006-2008?

The search feature is affected by where you are when you search. For best results, search from the Forum Index page. That searches the whole site.I hope this helps, hugs, Devlyn

Ah, OK I get it now. I was searching from the main page listing all the forums (by clicking on the Forums link at the top of the page.) Searching there tends to only return old results.  If I go into the subforum where I think the info I want to search for may be, it returns recent results.  (For example I tried to search on "smoking" just now both ways... totally different results.)  Thanks for the tip Devlyn!
