Cutting a binder?

So I've been thinking about cutting my binder- I've got the Underworks 997 Double front. I want it to be closer to a 'sports bra' (man, I hate calling it that x.x) length than the tri-top because that's much more comfortable for me than the full chest compression or the full length of the tri-top. 
Is there a good way to do this to avoid fraying? Or can I just cut the fabric and it'll be fine?

I cut mine and it didn't fray, but before I cut it, just to be safe, I did a running stitch just slightly above where I was going to cut. Once I cut it, and sewed everything together using an overcast stitch (this stitch should allow the fabric to remain elastic) I cut the running stitch out of the fabric.

I cut mine and tried to keep it going along one "track". I'm not sure how to explain that but sort of one ladder of the mesh that it's made up of if that makes sense at all. I don't think it's that important though because there's been no sign of fraying at all and I didn't sew or do anything else to it at all.

I would just add that I only ever hand wash mine, so I'm not sure whether something more violent like a washing machine might cause problems. Coating the bottom with nail varnish or something similar like that as I've seen people do that to tights (pantyhose?) if they get a hole or ladder to stop them fraying further and that's a similar weave of material.

I only handwash mine too- too paranoid I'll screw it up if I throw it in the wash.

Oh my gosh cutting my binder was the best decision ever! This is so much more comfortable!
I'll probably end up sewing it eventually just because the two separate layers is a little annoying XD

I've cut a mansculpture binder and a gc compression shirt. I am bothered under the arms, so I took the way the arm hole was going and added a bit more. Hard cut and not really very easy to sew. I also cut the mansculpture on the sides, just two slits. I have to tuck it in or it's silly but both things make these more comfortable for me. I think the kind of lycra, nylon artificial materials like this don't fray like cotton. You kind of will lose any guarantees or anything of course, but I don't know how many there are anyway.

i cut the egde of mine and it doesn't fray.

I've cut a few of mine. I can't sew and I'm lazy so I put it in the washer and drier too. Never had any problems really.

I've heard not to put them in the dryer. They have washer bags (mesh bags can find in the laundry section). Good to protect them in there. I also put the cock socks in there.
