So I scheduled a phone consultation with Garramone on April 3rd and between the excitement and nervousness I can't stop thinking about it. Anyways, I guess I was just wondering what to expect, like what he's going to say or ask. Also, is there typically a long wait after the phone consultation before the surgery? I have the money for it and just don't want to wait a second longer than I have to for it.

I have no personal experince with this but some of the guys on Youtube said that he talks really fast and it's best to write all of your questions down.  I heard he will ask if you have your letters of reccomendation/been to a therapist.  I know a lot of guys wait a few months but I guess it just depends on how busy his schedule is.

When I talked to him it seemed to me like the conversation was over in 30 seconds and my heart was racing.

He will ask you a few basic medical questions, tell you which procedure you are eligible for and speak a little bit about the surgery itself, He will also ask if you have any questions. Before your consult read all of the information on the website. The checklists and packets cover a lot of the information already. You do not have to have a letter from a therapist. He will take one from your GP as well.

Once you make a deposit and secure a date they will send you out a further detail packet outlining the items you will need to send into the office to continue to surgery. His nurses are also very knowledgeable if you feel that you did not ask him enough or want to call and clarify anything. I am not sure about the wait between consult and surgery as I scheduled mine in May. Also if your not on East Coast time make sure you have your phone ringer on loud so you don't miss the call if your not an early riser. I got my call about 8:00PST and almost missed it as I was getting ready for work lol.

Congrats on getting the ball rolling with the consult.

I had my consult right around this time last year, and I scheduled myself for the soonest date I could.  At the time of my consult, the soonest was July 3rd, but two days after my consult, the soonest was July 26th, and that's what I scheduled.  Longest three months of my life, but it did give me a chance to put in extra hours at work so I had a larger chunk of money to hold me over until disability kicked in.  Good luck and congrats!

Thanks guys. Hearing about what it might be like definitely helped with my anxiety. Of course I still haven't sent him the pics because I haven't yet gotten up the courage to take them but I will. This is too important to let fear stop me.
