I didn't take any tylenol or a hot bath, but I have been wracked with depression from schizoaffective disorder and I constantly think of suicide. Maybe it's because I have so many mental painkillers already?

The problem is that I have some really slow-growing stubble, and the epilator (I got a Silk-Epil 7) takes forever to get them. It's like it has a 3% chance of getting them. Maybe I should exfoliate first? I was so excited to use it I jumped right in.

Also it stings, but I'm inclined to say it hurts *less* than waxing. It's not that much worse than tweezing. Of course I waxed my face two weeks ago and also tweezed hairs as they came back, but I still had a fair amount of facial hair, but I guess it would be less painful than if I had a full chin. Also, I'm Chinese by ethnicity.

oh I've already been psychiatrically hospitalized four times, involuntarily admitted once, and I've been dealing with suicidal ideation for three years....it's just something I deal with. :)

Erika, I have not had a chance to greet you, and welcome you to the site.  I hope you are finding the information you need to help with your transition.

This is a support site, but only a moderator or two have crisis training.  I assume you are seeing someone for depression.

Feel free to contact a moderator at any time, especially if you are feeling like you want to hurt yourself, and we will point to addition resources.
