Just curious, seeing as they are my favorite band. Though I do listen to other music which varies from English to Hungarian music. I tend to like more heavy/metal music, but I will give anything a try.

I used to be their fan big time when I was 16... That was seven years ago (damn I'm getting old).

I don't listen to them that much these days but I still like certain songs and will most likely be very fond of them till the end of my days. :P
The whole VULGAR album is full of love.

I have all of their music. :P  All. of. it.  I adore Dir en Grey. x3  Though one of my favorite songs is off of "Marrow of a Bone".  I have to say my favorite video is "Obscure", though.  ^^ Dir en Grey was one of my first ventures into Japanese based rock and metal.  [Miyavi was officially the first band I listened to, though, and I have to say I love that band (and the singer) the most.]

This doesn't surprise me at all.
Because I admit it's my favorite, too. XD

I pretty much dropped out from following Dir en grey after Marrow of a Bone came out. Honestly, I didn't really like it. Well, "Grief" has its moments... Misheards, to be accurate. "I say destroy, f*** off" = "AC/DC f*** you" much?

XD It sickens me and fascinates me and all I can think is "Damn, I want that band in my bed."

I like "Grief", too. "Rotting Root" has got to be my favorite, though.  I love the guitar in it so much. >.> This was the first CD I bought by them though. :P  I was so embarrassed one day, though.  I plugged my iPod in to charge in my mom's truck and "Agitated Scream of Maggots" came on really loud and I couldn't figure out how to turn it off. xD I had to unplug it, lol.  I was like "well, then..."

My first CD from them was Withering to death. That was pretty much all I listened to during summer '06, lol... Nowadays, I also have Missa, Macabre and Vulgar. Too bad the Finnish online store that had amazing array of Japanese music has stopped, would've wanted to by their Kisou album...

I must say one of my favorite songs from is "Ain't afraid to die". It has some sorrowful yet somehow happy memories bound to it since I wrote it (in Finnish) in the card that went with the flowers on my grandfather's grave when he passed away and was buried.
It was actually this part:

The brightness quietly colours the inside of the town white
You saw the season's final colours
A tear falls reality is cruel, isn't it?
You saw the season's final colours

The four seasons and your colours too soon will disappear
The snow melts, on the street corner, the flowers bloom
You saw the "hues" softly dissolving

Not that I believe in heaven and all that jazz but I think he's much better now, not having to deal with his alcoholism and so on.

...Okay, that went kinda off-topic. XD
