Okay, folks. Let's hear your guilty pleasures. Things that you enjoy that you know you really shouldn't and are even slightly embarrassed about liking. As always, I'll go first.

Tom Jones and Neil Diamond. Yeah. I can't justify this at all. If you looked at my music library it would be Metal, Metal, Stoner Rock, Metal, Neil Diamond, Tom Jones, Metal, Metal, Metal.

The ones I'm embarrassed about:
-Wizards of Waverly Place which I have only seen once, but I did see the whole series and the movie. Justification: Magic. Duh.
-Ouran High School Host Club. Justification: It's funny, it makes fun of itself, and some of the characters are interesting.
-Getting crushes on and relating to fictional characters. It just seems like such a loser thing to do.
-Hollywood Undead. I have no idea why I like them. They're like a big truck. I listen to them to compensate for "something."
-Any pop song and/or band I end up liking.
-Ok I'm adding Disney/other cartoon crossover vids. Other mvs too.

The ones I am not the least bit embarrassed about, but that people have told me I should be:
-FAERIES (capitalized because this is the biggest. Folklore is my life aside from science). Not the little things with wings or the nice tree huggers or the pretty things that look like elves from LotR. The monsters and supernatural beings who can be found in folklore.
-Magic/fantasy. I don't care that it can't exist. I want to live in world with magic.
-Harry freaking Potter. Children's book? Who cares? I grew up along with the characters.
-Disney movies and other cartoons and kids' toys. Great for playing with my son (although he is still too young for lego).

I believe that pleasures should never be guilty but I do read old-fashioned Enid Blyton-esque schoolgirl novels behind closed doors. I was in the play 'Daisy Pulls it off', a pastiche of those sorts of novels and read a few as research. I really got into them, loving the simple world and the stock characters. I'm also a huge fan of cheesy bubblegum pop which runs peculiarly in the playlist with the Beefheart and other things.

Guilty pleasures? Oh, come on, there's nothing guilty about them. Either you like something or you don't.

And this is coming from someone whose favorite show currently airing on TV is "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic," probably spends 70% of my entire movie-watching life watching Disney movies, was a fan of the Backstreet Boys for years before my musical tastes matured, still plays Pokemon even as a 27-year-old, and my favorite type of TV show in existence is still cartoons. (I'll be watching "Spongebob," "Rocko's Modern Life," "Rugrats," "Hey Arnold," "The Angry Beavers," "Dexter's Laboratory," "The Powerpuff Girls," and "Avatar" forever. I LOVE those shows! To heck with target age groups!)

"Acting your age" is overrated.  :P

You watch Spongebob??? You have to be like incredibly AWESOME to admit something like that!
Well, the first three seasons at least... those are timeless, are absolutely HILARIOUS, and I'll never get enough of them, and still crack up every time I watch highlight reels of the best moments from those seasons. I stopped watching the new episodes, though, because they're just not as good. They seriously must have fired all of the good writers after season 3.

(Side note: I don't have any kids, so I really don't have any excuses... :P I'm just still a kid at heart, I guess.)

Oh gawd.....guilty pleasures: Junky old TV shows! LASSIE, Donna Reed, I Love Lucy, Green Acres, That Girl, Three Stooges!! Looney Tunes. It's so embarrassing to see it all written out! LOL

Chocolate and the Beatles, of course! But I don't feel so guilty about those... ;D

(But to admit to Neil Diamond and Tom Jones, wow. I'm glad we're all so comfortable with each other here!!  :D )

OOPs, I forgot, That '70s Show. I grew up on that show. These are My People!

I don't get it. What's such a big deal about liking Neil Diamond? I've never heard any of my friends talk about his music as if it's something to be ashamed of. And I don't hear anything worth being called "guilty" in any of his songs either. Maybe it's just because I grew up with "Play Me," "Sweet Caroline," and "Cherry, Cherry," so to me they're just songs that I'm used to, but again, I really don't get it.

I'm super, super into My Little Pony. I'm not ashamed of it, just mentioning it because people did earlier.

It's not really a guilty pleasure to me but since it's been said i'll say i love cartoons and i think i will till' the day i die.

Now for the actual guilty pleasures

I also have a respect for old horror movies, though i wouldn't enjoy watching one but after watching some history on it there seems to be an art form and a lot of times great humor (most unintentional).

I also like watching MMA and Pro Wrestling *Waits to be pelted with rotten food*

All I can say is that my life is pretty plain, I like watchin' the puddles gather rain.

Despite all my rage, I'm still just a rat in a cage

I used to enjoy watching Wrestling, but this was back in the day when WCW existed, so the WWF had some real competition, and they were both really striving to be entertaining. I really liked the luchidor-style wrestling that they did back then, like the Hardy Boys and Rey Mysterio back before they all got steroided up. Now it's just a bunch of big guys, and all the matches are pretty much the same. Punch, slap, pause, slap punch, maybe a move, rinse repeat. It's just gotten dull for me, so I haven't watched it in years.

Anything Twilight or related...so embarrassed.

My biggest guilty pleasure? Star Trek. Can't help myself!

Another pleasure some may not be fond of is bass. I love bumping down the road, feeling the vibrations of music in my bones. And everywhere else.

Other pleasures include glitter, bees, ice cream and dill pickle chips.
Just another girl screaming to be herself.

Walking naked in the outdoors. No not nudist resorts, I'm talking just plain ordinary outdoors, meaningless places not meant to indulge the practice. I am saying 'guilty' pleasure, because I like it for my own reasons and I don't care if it is 'legal'.

Sailor Moon, the ultimate girlie anime. Actually just about all of my anime. I couldn't care less if people think I'm immature. I AM immature, I don't find acting my age gets me anything worth having.

Playing my music loud. In my house, I am usually the one being scolded :) It is often my son getting annoyed at ME :) At least it is good music, comically, it is normally my SON'S music :)

Shopping, I love shopping, I like slowly shopping, I like to go down ALL the aisles, I talk to the clerks. I am NOT fast moving. People if they knew in advance, would do well to avoid me, I am not in a rush. I have my music on and I have all day.
Well being TG is no treat, but becoming separated has sure caused me more trouble that being TG ever will be. So if I post, consider it me trying to distract myself from being lonely, not my needing to discuss being TG. I don't want to be separated a lot more than not wanting to be male looking.
