I had the most amazingly awesome day today. I worked out this morning, and I lifted really heavy weights and felt really good. I felt really manly for hours afterwards because some of my veins in my arms were popping up like I've seen on men's arms. I felt really badass.  ;D And I actually got stuff done on one of my projects that I've been having trouble getting done.

Then out of the blue my old friend called me on my way home, and we spent about 3 hours on the phone laughing hysterically and talking about guns (which was really awesome because I didn't think she would ever be into guns).

Did you guys have an awesome day? What made you feel manly today?

Edit: And my peace lilly came back to life!

It's great you had a wonderful day today.  I should have worked out today too.

My day was decent.  Getting money for my birthday as well as Gamestop gift cards always make me feel manly.  The guy I follow on Youtube also posted the first of the Metal Gear Rising walkthrough videos.  That made me feel manly too.

Sounds like a great day :)

My manliest experience yesterday happened when I went into Starbucks to order a coffee.

There's this one particular barista - I think she's the manager - who runs around at warp speed, always flitting from one part of the shop to the other. She recognises all of her regular customers though, and I know she recognises me. Whenever she's on the till, she always calls me 'madam' before rushing off somewhere else. Infuriates the hell out of me as I've not had a chance to correct her.

Well, yesterday they were pretty quiet and she was on the till. She took my order and then (just like I'd been hoping!) she asked me my name for the order. I gave her a strong, confident look and said very emphatically: "My name is 'MaleName'."

She didn't 'madam' me that time. But she rushed off very quickly and I didn't see her again. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens the next time I see her.  ;D

Well, at lunchtime today I went back to the same branch of Starbucks and... you guessed it... the same barista was on the till. She recognised me, took my order, and when we got to the moment where she was about to ask my name for the order, she said "Your name starts with a J, doesn't it? I remember you from yesterday." I smiled, confirmed my name, and everything was super-cool. :)

So the end result is this: I don't have to feel dysphoria any more whenever I go into that particular branch of Starbucks, and my identity has been respected. And I was polite and friendly at all times. I score that as a win.

I must say, getting right back on the horse that threw you is tiring work, but once you tame that beast it's a fun ride! :)

This is awesome how well this works (for the most part). If you have the confidence, it doesn't matter if you pass exactly. People are not going to ask for your records. Be who you are and others will see it. This sounds like experiences I have been having.
And, oh yes, awesome man.
