What if someone were approved for T but paid out of pocket? Is it rather expensive (Having no insurance) ?

Depends on where you are. A clinic might offer sliding scale, and have a deal with labs. My appointments were $20, labs were $50 but didn't include T levels. T costs $120 for 5 months to 1 year of injections.

Depends on what method. Injections are the cheapest. I pay $96 for enough for 7 months. Some guys pay less than that.

If you want patches, gel, or cream is when it gets expensive (especially without insurance).

Wow those prices aren't bad at all! I'm just hoping to talk to someone asap and start my transformation, I see everyone else's story and transformation and I just get so jealous, I can't wait for that to be me one day.. To finally feel comfortable being myself.. I know it's going to take time but in the end it will all be worth it

Like others said it depends on what method you are on and where you get it from.  My vial lasts me 5 months and cost 38 bucks.  But after shipping and needles it costs me close to 50-ish dollars.

I am starting on compounded cream, and if I'm not happy I'll go to injectable. It costs more than the injectable but less than stuff like Androgel. I think compounded cream is between $40-80 per 3 months and Androgel is probably over $100. You use a lot of it as well.

I get a generic cypionate from Rite Aid for $20 (with insurance) that lasts me about 4 months. W/o insurance it would be $60 according the receipt. Then I pay 25cents per needle at the pharmacy and $5 of needles (20) lasts me the vial.

At my current dosage, I get almost six months' worth for fifty bucks at the local AIDS-serving pharmacy. The price includes needles. I didn't get any alcohol wipes last time, but I thought they were included the previous time...still, wipes are cheap, a few bucks a box. For each injection, I use one wipe for the vial and one for me. So it all adds up to a little over a hundred bucks a year. When I was at a higher dosage, I still paid less than $150 a year.

I also use a tissue and a little dot Band-Aid for each injection. The price is negligible, a few bucks a year.

This is all out of pocket, of course. Insurance prices are usually cheaper.

Here's what I wonder. I'm already on disability (in Ontario, ODSP) when I start T would it be covered by my drug plan? It should be but idk for sure
