So, who else pees like 20 times a day now? It's really annoying when I'm in a movie and I have to pee like 3 times during the movie when I used to easily sit through a long movie without having to use the restroom. Do you ever get to pee less? I would guess once you are put on a lower does of Spiro?

no, you never get to pee less ever again.

something about testosterone correlates with bladder quality control, i think, because it's like, i look back at myself before transitioning and i'm like DAMN SON YOU COULD HOLD YOUR BLADDER LIKE A CHAMP.
#things i say to my past self #mostly things that start with "damn son"

if you have srs, magic urethra science will just about guarantee you pee more often.  it's just how it is.  if you don't, spironolactone will enforce the urinary covenant.

tl;dr the ultimate fate of trans people is a lot of peeing, no matter what.

Ive found it helps to drink less before something like a movie. I only had to pee once for The Hobbit  ;D
"For transpeople, using the right pronoun is NOT simply a 'political correctness' issue. It's core to the entire struggle transpeople go through. Using the wrong pronoun means 'I don't recognize you as who you are.' It means 'I think you're confused, delusional, or mentally I'll.'. It means 'you're not important enough for me to acknowledge your struggle.'"

I actually have to pee less now... but maybe that's because I'm on the lower starting dose of spiro and I had a huge prostrate before starting.

It does get annoying, but I've gotten used to it, however I went from may 3-4 times a day to 10-12 times ... so a big increase for me personally ....

Yeah, it is really annoying at times. It takes me about 1 1/2 hours to get home from work on the bus. I usually pee right before I leave, but I am dying by the time I get home. Heaven help me if there is a bad accident and the bus is running late. I have gotten pretty used to it though.

I used to pee about 10 times a day while on Spiro. Now, I seem to be back to my normal amount of peeing since stopping Spiro. ( I had an Orchidectomy 3 weeks ago. ) I still drink a lot of water (Habit, I guess), but the bathroom visits have definitely become less.

This is something that I've been dreading about starting HRT. It's bad enough that I have diabetes and pee a lot because of it, I'm just imagining spending most of my life in the potty when it starts to kick in. :P

I feel a bit abnormal as I only need to go 4-5 times a day, unless I drink abnormally huge amounts of water!
It takes balls to go through SRS!

So am I... just one of many reasons I'm having SRS. No more testes, no more T, no longer need Spiro.

The worst part of it is going at night. 3-4 times. My boyfriend is a super light sleeper... so he'll be happy too.
