Joe.

I posted a while ago about wanting to email the uni that I'm hoping to attend about being trans. I built up the courage to email them last week but they haven't replied. They said it takes 3 days to recieve a reply but it's been 5 and I still haven't heard anything. Last time I emailed them about an open day they replied the next day. I'm not sure if I should keep waiting or phone up to see if they recieved it. I'm really impatient but this is important to me as I set my heart on this university.

I would call and see if they got it.  That could get them to reply.

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me

I would have just not sent a letter about it to be honest. as they say, it's a lot easier to apologize than to ask for permission... not that we need either.

Practicality dominates me. I can be a bit harsh, but I mean well.

Many places and others take to ignoring emails. They claim they get too much spam.

But I have to agree with Tomthom and not tell them. Once you get there you can sort it out. You have 3 years of you attend and English university and 4 in Scotland! For now it's hardly the priority.
