Well I think if you have a strong relationship, it may stretch a bit, but it won't break. If something so simple can break a relationship then it was only skin deep to begin with. I'd trust the relationship level you have and let it fly. Yes, they will be surprised, probably silent at first. If they laugh or smile, its a reflex and they are giving you a chance to explain.
The more people to talk to the better. I don't have anyone around me that I can talk to really. I don't have any friends face to face, my parents aren't really here all the time, obviously cause of work. I've always been the stereotypical ladies man when I was younger, but once that ended I became isolated which means I have A LOT of enemies.
