Ok...so I hate my forehead...always have. My bossing isn't the most extreme, but its pretty bad. I also have a deep indentation above te bossing...very neanderthal look. I may be exaggerating how bad it is, but it is undeniable and I am sure most of you would agree whole heartedly if I had any willingness to post a picture :)

I am horrified of surgery, I am poor, and I am scared of looking like a different person/having a weird forehead.

But none the less, I am convinced that I will one day have my forehead redone.

I have a few questions...

1. Does the shave/fill make your forehead look big/protrude too much? As though the ridge is still there, but now your whole frehead is filled in so its smooth..but just rlly big? Or does it look more natural/feminine than that?

2. What are some potential or common complications with browboss surgeries, both shave/fill and recnstruction?

3. How much do these two surgeries typically cost?

4. What about a hairline change? My forehead is also large in general...and I would love it if my hairline was lower. Is there a risk for hairloss from such a procedure? How much does this cost?

Basically I am scared that one day I will have these unnecessary procedures, and that I will die on the table or my forehead will be mangled, or my hair will be destroyed...and I will be disgraced and miserable for the rest of my life because I elected to have a couple surgeries that I never needed. I say I don't need them because I pass well without them...but that is dependent upon BANGS...thank god for bangs...

I guess I would pass without bangs...I don't know...I don't care to find out...I h a t e my forehead and I cant stand looking at it, from the side it destroys my feminine appearance.

My friends say its not a problem, tht it makes me unique or whatever...but theyre not trans and I dont think they are offering me unbiased advice...please help!

You may have already read this, but if not, some useful info:

How expensive is it? Is it dangerous?

i went to dr lazaro cardenas and it did not hurt at all. the feeling came back alot sooner than i thought it would.  the level of danger was minimal as they kept a very close eye on me for like 7-9 days after plus light treatments every other day. im not sure how much the forehead cost alone. but my FFS package was like 11,000 or 12,000 USD

Can't they do this through endoscopic methods now? I had forehead recontouring, but the scar was hidden behind the hair line, which meant no-one knew just a week after the procedure. Any surgery is dangerous. But it's no more dangerous than a brow lift.

Yeah. I'm not happy about my forehead either, but I'm also not really thrilled about the idea of FFS. I'm willing to wait to see what HRT does to my face, first, before I make any judgements. Right now I think I've got this really huge ridge, but I think that's more just me being down on myself than reality.

Right. But the distributions of fat in your face does change the general shape of it. It might offset what I think is a prominent brow. It might not. Any kind of surgery is something that needs to be carefully thought over before committing to it, and I'd rather see what kind of face I end up with before seriously thinking about having a doctor take a knife to it.
