I see plenty of topics on how to make one's voice feminine, but not really anything on the other way around for FTMs. I've been on T for 8 months now, and while my voice is indeed lower, people say I sound like a low voiced female. Ugh. Well that sucks.

Any tips for intonation, etc, to sound more male? The only way i sound remotely male is when I up how nasal I sound, and then I sound like a nerdy teenage boy...... which is ok, I guess, but I'd rather sound like a normal man.

Here's a good tip-

Men speak with a more monotone voice. That means they stay at the same pitch for the most part and use volume to add emphasis. Females are the opposite. They add emphasis with a dynamic pitch instead of adding more volume.

If your voice is bouncing up and down (even if it's low) it could easily make it sound very feminine/girly. Try evening out your pitch. Maybe even try talking holding the same low pitch, and then slowly start to add just a little bit of variance until it sounds natural.

I hope this helps!

Another tip that I used in college to help develop my "radio voice":

Speak from the chest and not from the throat

Your voice will deepen more. Try not to go up at the end of a question or the end of a sentence.
