Anybody shaved before T?

Joe.

Facial hair is something that is important to me once I start T, I know I may not get loads, and it may be fair and whatever, but anything will be something. I've been analyzing my face in the mirror lately, and I've noticed that I've got very fair hairs around my chin and tache etc. If I shaved it, would it grow back as stubble or would it just never grow back? Also, if I didn't shave it and - be prepared to laugh - dyed it with a tiny bit of hair dye, would it look like a natural beard once the dye on the skin had gone? I know these are silly questions, but I guess if I can't ask them here I can't ask them anywhere. Am I just dreaming, or is there a way to have facial hair kind of pre T?

You get little stubbly bits without shaving, but mostly just on your upper lip.  No one is really going to ever notice them, I just like the feeling of touching my face and think "I need to shave."  As most men either have proper facial hair, or shave they don't have the fuzz, so a lot of pre-T trans guys shave to remove that as only women tend to have it.

when you shave and you are not hormones, you are just cutting the hair at a new angle. You don't get new hair, but the old ones will seem different and rougher, so you can get a bit of stubble experience depending on how naturally hairy your face is currently.

my advice is don't dye it. Very high risk your upper lip will be stained for longer than you probably want to live with it, especially if you don't have much natural lip hair to begin with.

Like spacerace said, it'll only be cut at an angle, so it won't come back like stubble, it may just seem darker for a little bit because it's been cut instead of growing in naturally.

I have to shave some because I get dark man hairs in my chin and lip -- that's actually noticeable to others and gets really long. So, the peach fuzz in the area also gets shaved while I am at my manly hairs, and the peach fuzz never grows in darker or thicker, it just comes back the same old peach fuzz.

I'm a preT and I have a facial hair. I got sideburns since I was like 16 (I started shaving them off) and just recently some beard on my chin started to show up.

Yeah, I've had to shave since I was about 14ish. That was tough because a boy in class came up to me and basically said he was trying to be nice but I needed to know I should shave. (this was before and trans related anything had started) So while some would say I was lucky, it sure didn't feel that way at the time, lol.

I could grow a full beard by my mid 20's. Only thing I've had issues with really is my soul patch is taking forever to fill in, but since starting T everything is coming in thicker and better.

It is strange the first time you have to use electric clippers to trim your face down before you can shave it with a razor. Then the times you don't feel like shaving but have to make you wonder why you wanted it in the first place, lol.
