Yes, those lucky trans girls. All they have have to deal with is electrolysis, laser, GRS, and augmentation surgery. Oh, and FFS. Yep, we don't suffer nearly enough.

Whenever I hear that "Trans girls have it better because they don't get periods", I think of a rapist blaming a victim for dressing too provocatively.

Oh, and you forgot the stress of trying to find trans friendly medical care, and feeling like you have to "prove yourself" as trans just so you can have a fulfilling life (by getting srs, hormones, etc.).

Yeah, so we should have periods too?

That's one of the biggest sources of resentment cis women have about trans women besides invading their domain, that you don't have to go through what they have to endure every month.

Yes I've heard that and my response would be: "You don't have gender dysphoria which is a 1000x more of a pain in the butt, so drink a nice tall glass of shut up!"
"For transpeople, using the right pronoun is NOT simply a 'political correctness' issue. It's core to the entire struggle transpeople go through. Using the wrong pronoun means 'I don't recognize you as who you are.' It means 'I think you're confused, delusional, or mentally I'll.'. It means 'you're not important enough for me to acknowledge your struggle.'"

Just to chime in as someone socialized female, it's not weird as a girl to not have menstrual products on you. There's nothing "suspect" or not-passing about not having tampons or pads on your person at all times. But of course, there's no problem with having them either. :)

Here's an interesting twist...
Would you ask another girl in the bathroom for a pad or liner? Maybe youre having light vaginal discharge or maybe you just want to try this. Would you do it? I think I would...
Of course I would. If you're caught off-guard by a period you didn't expect, your only other options are to bleed all around all day, to run home in a panic or to stuff your pants with toilet paper, awkwardly, assuming you're not wearing a skirt.

...Though after that I would SURE carry some with me ALL the time. Lesson learned, eh.

MiaOhMya!

Ive had this happen, not in the toilets but with a coworker riding home in my car. Really its a rather private subject not something discussed...

So anyway she asks if I had something she might use,  a pad. I happened to have another friend's stash in my car...they're huge nappy-like pads, I mean pillows...actually I call them parachutes...poor soul.

Anyway I says "Yea check the glove box, but I dunno if theyre gonna be what you really want."

"Oh I'm sure they'll do." she says  **glove box opens**  ** gasping noise  then she spouts
"Oh my God you could do a bloody murder on this and no one would ever know!!"

Fo realz. Plus you don't have to worry about the dreaded coming out to a guy that's been hitting on you for the past 20 minutes. I'll take bleeding for 1/4 of my life from the age of 13-50 over being born with a penis any day of the week :P
To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person you are.

Besides, I hear immediately following GRS is the mother of all periods...

It is indeed, so much so in my case I needed a blood transfusion. And yes, even now I get discharge, but not in the form of blood.
It takes balls to go through SRS!
