My binder doesn't work properly :(

Joe.

I actually feel like crying. I got my first ever proper binder yesterday, tried it on quick as my parents were home and thought it was great. I put it on again and now it makes my chest look horrible. It pushes my chest up and although they're flatter, they're just this horrible round shape that stick out horribly. I'm a D cup so I'm not exactly small, but is there a way to sort or tuck them or push them to make them flatter in the binder? When I sit down its one hundred times worse. My stomach pushes them up and I can literally feel them beneath my chin and I'm not even exaggerating. It feels like I'm wearing a plunge bra and that's not at all what I want it to feel like. I'm overweight which doesn't help, but I'm joining the gym as soon as I can so that should helpfully tone me up and build up some muscle. I'm a guy, my chest isn't supposed to be like this   :'(  I know this is a common problem but this is the most dysphoric I've ever felt and its horrible.

Joey, there is only so much you can do with D-cups.  Sorry.  :(

Jamie is right. I am a D as well so I know your pain.

The thing that works best for me is spreading them apart. So you put on the binder and you're all smooshed up, and then you reach inside and spread them away from each other as much as possible. You still get a lump and it sucks, but it's the best way.

This sucks  :(  Thanks for the advice though Caleb, I will try that tomorrow.

this is what I did back when I had more volume and perkiness, its odd feeling but it works a bit more.

Deep breath, hon! You see you're not the only person who's run into this. Have you googled things like "Binding for bigger guys" for tips? The internet is our friend!  Hugs, Devlyn

I've always found that layering clothes helps make things appear more flat while binding.

I feel your pain, DDs for me ;_;! I've found that wearing a compression shirt like these helps a lot with getting flatter. Also works as a rash guard and preventing nipple chaffing XP. Don't buy it from the site though unless you have no choice @_@. You can get them at a more reasonable prices at Target or WalMart.

Yes, separating them works, but more specifically try pushing them downwards and to the side, as if you're trying to tuck them under your armpits. Smooth them downwards with the flat of your hand, pushing them towards your kidneys. That helps to smooth out that bulge.

Also, I have an Underworks 997 and I find that the 'sleeves' are too long for my frame because they're designed for an average-height cismale. I found that shortening the 'sleeves' slightly helped increase the compression at the top and it smoothed out the bumps somewhat.

Incidentally, I have a permanent shoulder injury that was caused by hunching my shoulders forwards for the past 30 years to try to hide my chesticles. My binder is the only thing that helps me push my shoulders backwards into a normal position so that I can alleviate the pressure on my shoulder.

I am a D too, and I just do what Caleb does, our I just say screw it and wear a sports bra since it doesn't look much different.

I don't want to discourage you from working out, but since I've started lifting weights again, my chest has seemed perkier because my pectoral muscles are bigger, which kind of pushes everything up. But, if you're looking to loose weight, your moobs should get at least a little smaller.

I'm pretty small so I can't relate to your experience exactly, but one thing I do know is that binding breaks down breast tissue after a while, so the more you do it the easier it will get.

Joe.

Thanks for all your tips guys. I will try them tonight and see if there's any improvement. Much appreciated.

I wrote this a few months ago. I'm big chested and wrote a little guide of things that helped me. I'm a DDD and pass about 90% now. Hope it helps.

Thanks for posting that Darrin, that's very helpful.

Joey, I feel your pain.  I don't have any constructive advice, but I sympathize.  I can't get my sweater monsters flat either.

But I can tell you that losing weight does make them smaller.
