I hope someone can help or answer some of my ?s i have about hormone therapy. I am 30 and have been on HRt for almost a year now and for some reason have been recently having embarrassing spontaneous semi erections and would like to know why this is happening?

I have been on E -- 2xday, Spiro 2xday and Progestin 1x day and seems like my breasts have stopped growing and seems like no fat distribution is happening either.   :(

I entertained the idea of Depo Provera for breast growth and Chemical castration to speed up feminising to my endo and it was mute.  She neither said no or yes.  How can I convince her?

why hasn't my body changed at all besided my breasts?

dosages removed.

HRT is like one big gigantic genetic lottery. I'm sorry your changes haven't been as pronounced as you would like. I'm not a big fan of orchi unless you are getting SRS soon after. It's a pretty big step and one you should think about long and hard (no pun intended). Perhaps up the doses and add another AA.

I had some spontaneous erections last week, most likely from my hormones going crazy as my testicles collapse in on themselves like a neutron star.  :P

Has your weight/body fat stayed the same since starting? Fat re-distribution is a bad description for it since it doesn't re-distribute. It just deposits new fat on female areas so if you want significant body changes you're going to have to burn all that old male fat first then add new fat.

11 months is still a short time, be patient. Most people don't see peak changes for a few years. Puberty takes a looooong time.
"For transpeople, using the right pronoun is NOT simply a 'political correctness' issue. It's core to the entire struggle transpeople go through. Using the wrong pronoun means 'I don't recognize you as who you are.' It means 'I think you're confused, delusional, or mentally I'll.'. It means 'you're not important enough for me to acknowledge your struggle.'"

I've been on Estrogen, Spiro and Progesterone for 8 months, and I still get the rare spontaneous erection. I think it's not that uncommon at this point of taking HRT.

I haven't had a spontaneous erection since I started, but my T has been nuked into the dirt for a long time. I think the trick is getting that to happen in order to see any substantial changes. Have your hormone levels ever been satisfactory (125+ E, <40 T) for any length of time? If so, how long? In my case, T has been suppressed for such a long time that I don't think my testes have it in em anymore to make T even if I went off of HRT. Maybe that's all you need, is a long period of time where T is suppressed?

Also, I wonder if going on a starter dose for a long period of time builds up a certain immunity to the hormones ability to do their part in the future? Maybe if the body isn't initially flooded with E and T is not immediately suppressed, the body learns better how to metabolise excess estradiol and keep it from receptors in the testicles, therefore reducing the ease in which total suppression can occur.

We need more studies  :eusa_think:
