Hi all,

I read on tsroadmap.com and other websites that blindness and visual complications - double distortion and double vision, etc, - are associated with forehead surgery, the risk is extremely rare though! However, I could not find any personal experience or published study mentioning it.

Do you know or have heard of anyone who has had such a complication?

Are there any specific precautions you might suggest? ( Of course, I understand doctor's precautions are most important.)

Do you suggest one gets their eyes checked before surgery?

Has any of you (or do you know anyone) with high blood pressure had forehead surgery? What was your experience? Please do mention the blood pressure. I have read one needs to be particularly concerned about maintaining a stable blood pressure post forehead surgery.

Any other information you have..please share..it will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi and welcome.

Please read the rules under the announcement section.

Cross posting the same message will not get you any more answers than asking once. So please be considerate.

Why don't you post an introduction to yourself in the Introduction area?

You will meet people that way!

I wouldn't put too much faith into that "advice". The biggest issues with forehead contouring are the risk of bone infection, damage to the sinus cavity, and severing of nerves to the forehead skin.

Hello Cindy,

I am not sure if I understand the meaning of cross posting. I do understand I posted five new topics but they all had different questions  related to forehead reconstruction. I thought posting them in one topic would not get as many replies + people wouldn't read considering the length.

I am unable to PM you. I guess I am not allowed to do that.

It would be very helpful if you could re-publish my other topics - I really need those answers! :(

Good day!

I am not sure if I got the advice part...

Bone infection..scary. I am very prone to staphylococcal infections. Do I have a reason to be scared? :(

Hi Sonpari, welcome to Susan's Place! You do have a lot of questions, perhaps there is a compromise between asking so many questions in one post that no one replies, and flooding the forum with single question posts on the same subject. That compromise is a conversation.  You've started one here, let our members help you. Hugs, Devlyn

Alas! I am not very good at conversations and I need to reserve the date with the surgeon soon! :(

I have gone through the old forums and it does not seem a conversation will help a lot...most people click on a topic only when it is interesting to them...a broad topic, say, "forehead reconstruction" usually doesn't get as many helpful replies as a narrow, more particular one...

Smiles,
Sonpari
