I'm typically hesitant to go out and make friends, mostly because I usually just retreat into hermit mode (due to bad experiences with socializing in high school). I also don't want to have to come out after I've made new friends, because I know I'm going to start presenting more feminine pretty soon...
Soooo...
I ended up going out for coffee with a high school friend (he'd kinda goofy and weird), and I met his friend. Little did I know, my high school friend (let's call him "b") is asexual, and his other friend (let call him "k") is bisexual and has a boyfriend who is a trans guy and in the process of transitioning. Finally...I could talk about guys without feeling awkward, lol except we made "b" feel really awkward.
What really made me happy is that I found out that "k's" boyfriend is getting "T", and then I was like "it is possible to get hrt in this town". So perhaps "k's" boyfriend might have resources that I don't yet know about, plus it would be awesome to meet another trans person in real life.

I can now have an authentic social life...yay!
