I came out with my feelings last night at midnight to my good friend Steph. I was in love with this girl last year, and we were going to date but it never worked out and we eventually both moved on and became the best of friends because we're too alike not to be! :) I was upset and I needed to tell someone right then and now. Steph has always been an accepting person and I knew there was only a 1% chance she might not accept my feelings about becoming a man, but thankfully she was thrilled! It was the most amazing feeling ever I have to say. Finally, being myself for once and having someone love me for it. I hadn't talked to her for quite a while actually but it was like we had never stopped being close and she stopped my tears for the night. Her acceptance inspired me to tell two other friends today, and they also made me very happy!
They always told me life is what you make it, no thanks I'd rather fake it. To me life's a party so let's do it naked! >:-)

That's really great to hear that things went so well, Romulus! It can be very therapeutic just to admit to someone your true thoughts and feelings and to have them understand and not judge you for it. The only people I've told so far have been my best friend and my boyfriend, but just admitting it to those two people really helped me.

That's great!  I've been out to my close friends for a while and they have always been supportive.  Really good accepting friends can be a major lifeline, so it's awesome that you have them to count on.

I actualy called a close friend of mine yesterday and told her, and she's the first person I talked to in person about it. I've told a hand full of people who are friends of mine on line. I like em, and I'm close to em . . . but it's a whole different ball game telling someone you know in person.

I found it very difficult to talk, even though she was perfectly accepting and encourageing. I think I must have said "it's hard" Every other sentence.

But it feels damn good having talked to someone about it.

I'm so glad that you seem to have had a similar experience, Romulus. I feel it's a very good . . . very large first step.
