Hi everybody! My name is Amy and I joined to make new friends and get guidance and feedback as I journey to a better understanding of myself. I have been recently putting more energy into determining if I am actually transgender and what practical steps in transition I may need to take to become the woman I feel myself to be.

A little about me. I'm 32 years old although I still feel like I'm in my 20's. I'm a very creative person and enjoy photography, writing poetry, and composing on the piano. I'm an avid animal lover and currently share an apartment with 4 cats and a chihuahua. They are my fur family since it is unlikely I will ever have biological children. I am married to my partner, Nicole, who has been supportive for the 9 years we've been together; of those 9 years, 4 have been as a married couple.

I am currently pre-everything although I dress and present as female most of the time out in public. The only places where I present as male or use my birth name are at work and at home. Although supportive of transgender rights, my wife is still getting used to the idea of referring to me as Amy and using female pronouns. We are both working through this and part of that is what has brought me here. She has also found a separate forum focusing on SO's of transgender women.

That's all I can think of at the moment. Please feel free to ask me anything. I'm very open. Much love ladies!

Hi Amy, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 10630. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister.

And be sure to check out these links ( MUST READS )

Thank you so much for the warm welcome!

Boston is definitely one of the few east coast cities I could imagine living in.

I hope you have a wonderful day.

Hi Amy and welcome to Susan's. I've been married nearly 33 years and my SO goes
with me everywhere now. I happen to write poetry myself. I live in New York City.
I would love to visit San Francisco someday.
