at age 30 5 course from graduating with a programming degree and not only have I started my transition 6 months so far but I have decided to challenge the mcats  and switch my field of study to medical with the hopes of becoming a doctor.   im so scared my transgender status is going to get in the way but I can't stop which means I'll just have to show med schools just what im made of.

Go for it Hon,

I know several TG medics, nurses, health professionals.

I know one very well, I see her every time I look in the mirror.

I've had no negative impact from any of my colleagues, in fact the total opposite, they have been supportive, helpful, loving and wonderful.

Oh and of course two of the best SRS surgeons in the world have been on the same path.

You are obviously bright, intelligent and committed (and very pretty) so follow your dreams and never let anyone, anywhere tell you what you can and cannot do.

Hugs and Love

Cindy

Academic environments, generally, are very accepting. The medical field seems to be as well.
