Software that allows uploading

Does anyone know which software program I should download (FREE) that will allow me to upload files from a digital microphone I use for work. It's a good microphone and I can easily put the files on my computer but currently I have Overtone and it doesn't seem to have an upload option. For whatever reason, my internal mic is not working but this one is prob better anyhow.

Also, any tips on the best free voice coach on YouTube? I'm trying to prioritize and I know voice is important but if there's only minimal difference between free voice lessons and ones that are expensive, I'll save that money for SRS. Thanks so much in advance for any help :-)

Normally, an online storage website will allow you to upload any file. You simply use website's file uploader to browse your computer to select the file to upload. Or is this not what you want to do?

What I meant was that I was using Overtone but the Free version will not allow you to upload files to the program. My computer's mic does not work and I can not fix it so without being able to upload files to the program itself to analyze, I can not use it. I started usinf Praat and it's okay but I think Overtone is better as it is more clear where your voice is at. I think Praat does the trick though for now. My voice is at 135-145 hrtz. speaking normally. It's kinda hard to read but getting simpler.

Joanna, if your computer's mic isn't working, how are you making recordings, or which device are you making recordings on?

I use audacity.
I imagine this will work so long as you are able to get the files you are recording onto your PC, since audacity is just a general audio editing program.

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Might not help very much for pitch analysis though since it is very limited for this. If you are using a line in though for your recording device you could always play an mp3 into it with an audio jack and an mp3 player. Should work...

As for free stuff on youtube to help you learn techniques. I have used a whole bunch of them, most of them did not help me that much. I guess they work for some people though. So I would recommend burning through as mahy different styles as you can till you find something that does. For me though the most useful one were the "finding your female voice" videos. Specifically the voice consultation video set.

Finding Your Female Voice Consultation Pt 1

However that only really helped me get the pitch right. I am still kinda workin on my resonance but the most helpful thing I found for that was this:

Oh, I have a black little Sansa recording device. I make recordings on it and then hook it up to my computer and uplaod the files. It records voice extremely well as I also use it for articles I write as I need to record real estate proceedings and other real estate related things.

@Seras: Thanks so much for the tips I needed some.

What I discovered when I used Overtone is that you can play sounds files on your PC and get Overtone to process the sound being played, even when played by another program, like VLC or WMP. Simply tell Overtone to record and then play your recorded sound file with another program. ie. Overtone records any sounds being played through the PC, not just through the mic.
