Farewell to my friends, farewell to the life I knew. I burn what once was, and in the ashes I am born anew.

I did, did you not get the memo? I posted a comment -there weren't that many comments, i said, 'SaveMeJeebus'  :P

I have only played EverQuest 2, i thoroughly enjoy it. The variety of races and classes is impressive. Its an underrated game, is it not?

My boyfriend said he played the originally, and told me of how different it was. He said he couldn't get into Everquest 2 though.

I think EverQuest next is ambitious, and i am now eager to know how others plan to evolve.

I liked how the ground broke apart, and then they went down to explore a new area. I also liked the idea of the AI being smarter; instead of re-spawning in the same place, they will move to a location that suits them. And the whole world changes around the players; servers could be completely different. That makes my mouth water -not really, but you get the idea.

One tiny complain.... the Kerran  :-X

(I must have missed that they plan to release it on the PS4, hell yeah!)

Yeah I was a WoW kid myself, so I never played EQ or EQ II.

As for it being on PS4, yeah its made by Sony so it would be silly for them not to. DC Universe is coming to PS4 so they very much want their new headline MMO to be on the console too.

PS4 is doing very well for itself MMO wise. DCUO, EQN, FFXIV, Planetside 2, Dust 514...It's going to be epic!

I believe i only checked out World of Warcraft last year. I remember saying to myself, 'no wonder this game is so acclaimed'. I got all of the expansion packs at the time, go to the level cap with my mage, and leveled up a few alts. I am not one for end-game gear grinding, so after my free trail ended i didn't renew the subscription. I have yet to play Mists of Pandaria.

It would, wouldn't it? I certainly have been looking forward to seeing more MMOs hit the console. EverQuest has been in my mind,

I have been looking forward to seeing more MMOs hit the consoles. EverQuest being one, along with Vanguard and Champions of Norrath from Sony - plenty more hopes.

Dust 514 and DC Universe Online are out for PS3 already. More reasoning why i want to purchase a PS3 now  :D

I recently re purchased a PS3 myself, mainly for XIV (my pc is too outdated to handle it).

But there's so many great games on the PS3 that I can see myself not investing in a PS4 until there are plenty of games worth buying on it. So anywhere up to a year post launch really.

Bleh sony and eq.
I played eq 1 and got so enraged by their customer service and the fact you NEEDED a group to do anything that I still can't handle the thought of logging back in to say hi to old guild mates. After leaving eq it took me a year to even think about playing WoW and I still won't buy sony products they made me that angry.

If you can't stand Sony for something like that then you should really go find out why die hard Star Wars Galaxies fans hate Sony ;)

Trust me, new everquest works nothing like the old one. It's a sandbox, not a themepark. No levels. It's an open world sandbox and it looks glorious.

As Dreams said, EverQuest Next is going to be different. EverQuest 2 is supposedly different to the original - You are able to solo to the cap level, if that's what you are after. MMOs have group content, but most don't force you into it.

I know customer service can be frustrating, but there's different people and different divisions. I personally never had a problem with customer service while playing EverQuest 2.
