I do agree with the NSFA on this though. Abuse, sadly, is pretty common. So that the odds of being abused are so high that it is pretty obvious that it is going to happen to trans people as well. There are trans kids who get abused because they are trans as well. Another subject I would guess.
Anyway, not all trans people even have a negative feeling of their birth gender. I was very active in the women's movement. I have found a lot of older trans guys were.
