I have accepted myself completely as a female, I do feel wholly integrated into society, and I am happy as such. So in some respects I do not
need the FFS, but I know that it will make me happier to have my brow bossing shaved. Not that I think it keeps me from passing, but it is the one thing that has bugged me since day one because without makeup I don't pass nearly as well (due to my forehead).
I chose Dr. Toby Mayer because he does brow shave (type I) rather than full reconstruction (type III), so the difference will be subtle and that is what I want. The cost, risk, and recovery are all minimal because that's the only bony work I'm doing (brow shave). I am confident that the subtle shift across the profile of my forehead will make me feel complete up top, and after some hard work saving over the summer I am financially able to do so. After seeing MaidOfOrleans' results and meeting again with Dr. Mayer myself, there is no doubt in my mind that this is the right thing to do. Dr. Mayer is by all means a minimalist.
Thank you all for your blessings. I am so very excited to have these photos as a milestone of what hormones and hard work with presentation alone have visibly done for me in a year, and I feel that I am 95% complete up top. I hope to tackle that last 5% and then move on to the last and final step... SRS.
