Coming Out While Self-Employed

While it won't be for quite some time, I've been thinking a lot about what would be the best way for my husband to come out at work. We are self employed and run our own business, and she is the "face" of the store, ringing up transactions, interacting with customers, etc. Many, if not most, of our customers are regulars, who are in the store on a regular, sometimes daily, basis. Has anyone else on here transitioned while working for themselves? How did you do it? Did it impact your business (either positively or negatively)? Thanks!
