Maybe I should just accept that I'll probably end up with both eventually so I might as well buy both now...

I prefer Mandelbrot, fractals amazing.  Besides it looks prettier lol!  Anyway your right, you will end up with both, so don't even try to choose :p

ThinkGeek didn't have the Mandelbrot one in stock, so I'm just getting the Pi one for now.  I'll check back in a few weeks to see what's in stock
