I went to the doctor and had some blood taken with a huge needle, it went everywhere and made a huge mess.

Get the results next week as testing hormone levels and stuff.

My voice is changing. :)

Yesterday I spent most of the day sounding like an injured penguin. Today I've upgraded to a flatulent goose.  ;D

Voice seems to change rapidly when an FtM starts T, the rest takes a little longer and is more subtle initially.

I got to watch that hot mess of a performance by Miley Cyrus again on tv. Made my day.
Britney Spears shaved her head for our sins.

I spent the day with a friend. We went to the bathroom and we were talking so i wasn't really paying attention. We had to pay and I needed more time to find the money, so I pay the lady and make to follow my friend when she stopped me, pointed at the men's  room and said: "you have to go that way". I was so shocked I just did, and proceeded to freak-out in the stall! My friend being really happy for me made me even happier.

Cool! Once in the stall there is nothing to freak out about unless you drop the roll of toilet paper and it rolls out under the door like I once did!  ;D

Thanks Joules, Shan, and Liam! I am very excited. Also, I should be getting my student loan in the next few days.

NathanielM, good for you. You are being taken as a guy.  I had a similar incident going to class when I asked a security person which way to the restroom and got pointed to the men's. I went in and there were about 10 guys in there, I used a stall, washed my hands and left, without a problem.  Afterwards I thought what have I just done and no one looked or said anything to me.

Sooo close to having my gender changed on campus. I changed my name there a couple years back but couldn't change my gender as I didn't have any documents to show I had transitioned physically. weeell now I was able to submit gender change documents, but they no longer have my name change form. So they don't know how the name got changed in the first place (I do, I remember giving them the certificate). I just need that to prove I'm not...still the old name. So next week if I can get that to her then I can be male in the system.

I passed! :)

This week my voice has been moving from sounding like an injured penguin on Tuesday to a flatulent goose on Wednesday. Today it's decided to sound like a love-sick moose, so I took it out for a spin at lunchtime.

I was stood in a queue in the supermarket waiting to pay for my goods, and I noticed that the (elderly, male) cashier kept referring to the female customer in front of me as 'madam'. I hate it when cashiers call their customers 'sir' or 'madam' because historically they've always automatically misgendered me, so I thought 'here we go, he'll be 'madaming' me all the way through the transaction'. So to stop him from doing that, I moose-called got in there first by saying 'Hiya' to him as deeply as I could.

It worked a treat. He treated me completely differently than the female customer before me, and he called me 'sir' all the way through the transaction.

Woohoo!  ;D

The last two nights I went to the East Mississauga Community Health Center support groups. Wednesday is a once monthly meeting for trans people & Thursday is for everyone in the whole spectrum a larger group that meets more regularly at once a week. I like that there is a weekly meeting that is more immediate if you want to talk about something. Anything that was discussed is like the expression, "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas." The trans group two people went to a cd club I went to in Toronto so a bit in common & one knows a friend of mine I met there she is about 45 to 50 & closest to my age so I am the oldest in the group. Most are in the 20 to 30 age range. Wednesday some of the people asked my to joining them at a Tim Horton's which I did. Some of them have known each other for a year or more so there was a lot of chatter, they tease each other & lots of laughter around. Looking forward to us getting to know each other more.
