Me and my gf had a bday party for our son (he's 2 now). Her whole family came and it went so well. I'm so glad they all like me. They fully accept me and all of them get my name and pronouns right. Even her ex, the boys father, came over for it and there was no drama (me and her family all hate him). For the sake of the baby everyone got over their extreme dislike for the dude and had a good time. It was a damn good day.

First, getting home from a pretty gruelling business trip to Canada and the US having encountered no significant issues with passport control, immigration or TSA. My bra under male attire led to me being patting down on two different occasions following full body scans but on both occasions, it ended with a "that's fine, you're OK" or something similar.
Second, shopping in the center of my home town  this afternoon, wearing a long, sleeveless, linen dress and feeling the light summer breeze circulating against my body beneath the dress. Quite a delightful sensation, adding to the deep joy I feel as  I realize that yes, I can at last function comfortably in public as a woman after so many years of inner struggle followed by a very heavy and at times quite brutal program of physical transformations.
As recently as 2 - 3 years ago, all of this looked close to impossible but here I am almost at the end of this particular road with only a few months more to wait before I should also be able to transition at work with the full support of my boss.
No words to describe how all of this feels beside "gender euphoria"
Warmest regards to all of you fellow travellers.

P.S. I would highly recommend John Irving's book " In one person" to anyone interested in gender and/or sexual diversity. A bit ponderous at times, especially the second half of the book, but overall, an entertaining read for those who are interested in such questions. Among others, since my boss and I have been reading it at the same time, it has been the source of some very lighthearted exchanges between us about my own situation.

Me & FTM Diaries have just parted ways after spending the day at Bristol pride parade followed by a civilized drink afterwards.
I'm sure he'll be on at some point to add a comment to this thread once he gets home, we both had a great time.

Something I like about my mom is that she will let me fanboy over the complexities of the human brain and hold a conversation with me about it.

Yes, we did indeed have a great time. :)

Bristol Pride was a fun day out as per usual, but it was quite different from London Pride in a couple of ways. On the plus side, it was much better organised than London Pride (or perhaps we were better organised because we're local?); but on the minus side there were no cheering crowds lining the parade route like we had in London, and the T end of the LGBT spectrum was woefully underrepresented.

Which, of course, gives Jayne & I something to think about for next year's Bristol Pride! ;D

The T in LGBT certainly stood for "Token" on Saturday but we'll see what we can do to rectify this at next years pride parade.
As always it was good to see you, it's just a shame it was so damned hot that day

I've been keeping it on the down-low lately, but lurking here... today I got my 2nd opinion! So now getting my gender affirmation surgery is just all about the waiting lists :D.

I plan to be well enough to go to Bristol Pride next year - I'm going to make it to Plymouth, Truro, Torbay and Totnes prides over the next couple of months, I hope. Plymouth Pride is this coming weekend!

Big grats Padma, Best wishes and hopefully a short wait for you.

Started lady pills today, that made me happy. Also helps my meds are covered by my benefits plan. Getting a new doctor as my current practitioner is leaving the city for an extended time.  Apparently my new practitioner is a translady.

Having an unhealthy need to listen to way too much Taylor Swift.
