I surprised myself! I made a video for Shantel so she could see how I'm looking lately, and I went to preview the youitube upload and I heard my voice go "Hi Shantel" and mother of God, I had a recent voice drop. Lol. I was shocked.

I spent my day travelling between home and Canada. When I travel I still dress in an androgynous manner but was nevertheless clocked female at security and thus frisked down by a female security agent who was more than a head shorter than me after my hair clasps (I think) set the alarm off...
i was also called Madame all through the flight by the flight attendants so all of that was excellent for my morale.
I needed it as between one thing and another on a day that things just didn't click, it took me 15 hours to ge from my home this morning to my hotel this evening...Ah the joys of international travel!!

P.S. For our Australia friends. I am well aware that it takes you at least that long to get anywhere civilized from your isolated bit of real estate way down under..

That's wonderful Donna! I travelled in May, and I was called "sir" throughout all three airports, frisked by the male TSA agent, and called sir the entire time on the plane. It felt AMAZING and it really boosted my confidence in myself.

Thanks Caleb. I guess it really is particularly satisfying for any of us to be correctly gendered by security personnel in airports! 
Just out of curiosity, how tall are you and, if a little short, do you encounter the same issues as me in reverse? 
I found today really comical as the security agent was particularly short and I was literally towering over her.

I'm 5'4". I was tired (up all night before the trip) so I don't remember clearly how much taller the man was. But it didn't seem like much. I'm guessing 5'7"?

I remember having a professor (presumably cisgender) who was exactly 6 feet. I remember writing in a journal "I expected this person to be scary and 6 feet tall" and she wrote in red "...my height exactly." I went to apologize lol and she said "I wasn't offended, but I do want to know what makes 6 feet the magical height for intimidation..."

I'm exactly 5' 7" tall Donna, I would have been taller if I hadn't been in the paratroops.LOL. Hey pretty lady, tall statuesque women always look more graceful and much better in their clothes. Count your blessings!

I bought a new computer today, not happy about the reason that I had to buy one but happy that I have a functioning computer and brand new at that. My old one was 5 years old, keyboard busted, touchpad busted, 2/3 USB ports busted, I was due for an upgrade. It's just a cheap model laptop with a touchscreen, but damn I love the versatility of this touchscreen. This laptop is more like an flip-tablet where I can open it up and the screen is a touchscreen but for typing I can just use the keyboard so it's just like my old flip-phone but a lot bigger and faster. Somehow this thing is half the size of my old laptop yet twice the speed and memory for half the cost. I'm impressed, just annoyed at the Windows 8 operating system and how it's got that app thing for the start menu. Kinda pointless in my opinion considering I had to install Skype to the desktop just to get notifications on it vs the built in app that doesn't work worth crap, and that anything I install I have to revert to the desktop to use unless I make pins for the start menu. I find it cumbersome in that sense.

There is a good free program for having a regular start menu with your desktop just like windows 7. Its called Start Menu 8. You can still switch between it and the new annoying pad like screen windows 8 has pretty easy too if needed.
