I had a great day with my girlfriend today, we went to the zoo, got some fish and chips, and then to some weird local "festival" (a field, a tent with some passable local bands, and many drunk people mixed with little kids and old people) where I was introduced to several people as "Alex". A couple of sentences later he was asking if I was her little brother, but I'll let that slide. It's just nice to know that some people, even if I'll never see them again, know who I am.
Tomorrow we're heading off to some larger, but still small, festival, so it's a bit of an action packed weekend, seeing as it's our last together for months with me leaving. I feel like an old man, I'm used to just pottering around the house all day!
And today we did things that would be counted as "a date" by people, it's only taken us over a year and a half!
