A girl said I was pretty (No she didn't have a white stick!)

Big Kim gets to start the latest version.

All you have to do is think one happy thought, and you'll fly like me! - Peter Pan

I woke up on the right side of the grass, had a good day at my volunteer jobs, and my husband liked dinner.

When we walk to the edge of all the light we have and take the step into the darkness of the unknown, we must believe that one of two things will happen. There will be something solid for us to stand on or we will be taught to fly. — Patrick Overton

I learned the benefits of applying makeup in natural lighting which lead to one of the best & most confident days I have had in a long time. And the thought of my voice surgery being exactly two weeks away has me cringing with excitement.

I heard an ad on the radio for a specialist cider shop in my home town, so I've just checked out their website. Holy mackerel... they sell more than 80 varieties of cider, all produced within a 50 mile radius.

I love a good cider... and now I know of a shop on my doorstep that sells every cider I could ever imagine! Ooh arrrr!  ;D

I started voice therapy with a wonderful woman.  I've never been so at ease with myself as I was with her.
To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

Spent the evening chatting with my (very cool) youngest daughter. We discussed the novel she's writing; talked about a ridiculous character off British TV; made some very juvenile plans for the weekend; and munched our way through an enormous stick of biltong. Awesome! :)

Oh, and I had my 6-monthly dental check-up today, in which the dentist once again complimented me on my dental hygiene & healthy teeth. And this time she didn't compliment me in the same way as she did last time, which was: "You have wonderful teeth for your age!"

I like Dr. Who.
I bought Owen underwear to encourage him to use the potty more. (He doesn't like the inconvenience.) He got all excited and started strutting around the apartment wearing only bright orange underwear.
He also told me he loves me. He does that a lot. It makes me feel happy.

I had a quick texting chat with my Dad just before he tee'd off on his Saturday Golf tournament.  He lives in Scotland so I don't get to see him much. But I love him to bits. He always makes me smile because he always calls me "Honey" and "Darling". He's been so accepting and supportive. I couldn't be more proud to be his Daughter. :D

This actually happened a couple of days ago:

A girl I work with was looking for a band-aid.  I remembered that I keep a first aid kit in my backpack, so I offered one up.  She was surprised and commented "Not to sound sexist or anything, but I never figured the person with a band aid would be male".  If only she knew ... :)
Sometimes I blog things

Of course I'm sane.  When trees start talking to me, I don't talk back.

That is because you are a great parent!   :)

(I never got any bright orange underwear  >:( )

Caleb and I had watched a documentary about gender in advertising a few days ago. Turns out using some of the poses and looks seen in the documentary can make Caleb hot and bothered. It can be more fun when you do it to the Divynals "I touch myself" music video. Caleb says twisted and mean.  >:-)

My youngest daughter, who usually refuses to let us buy her new clothes because she isn't interested in fashion, agreed to several new items of clothing today. Most of the credit must go to her big sister, who acted like a personal shopper for her. :)
