Through friends at my church, I'd become the quasi-mentor to a young MTF who recently graduated a local high school and is now bound for Stanford.

She was her class's valedictorian.

And her chosen name was in the program, her chosen name was called when she walked across the stage, and she wore the color robe that the female students wore.

She's an openly MTF student who'd been embraced by her classmates and her school.

This gives me great joy!

8 months on hormones today. 2 months since coming out to every dimension of my life other than work.

I am slowly overcoming my insecurity about my gender and my transition and I'm starting to open up to people after a long, long spell of self-isolation.

First day at my new job. Everyone was brilliant with pronouns, even those who had met me awhile back when I looked very female  

And bathrooms are a non-issue...they are all single occupancy ones, so I can use the men's room without worrying about making people uncomfortable.

Oh, and tomorrow I go to court for my legal name change!!

I don't have any plans yet, but I feel guilty for buying too many shoes lately.  I think I should be a good girl and just reimburse my credit card for some of my shoe indulgences.

I got my drains out and my dressings off, which was quite painful, but now they're off, which is grand.  I thought it seemed very high (like I would know) but in the mirror all the placement is clearly right on.  Then I got to shower, and that was not easy to do, but a great improvement.  Now I am more comfortable and more mobile, and I actually looked at my own chest for literally the first time in six years.

Congratulations Liam. I imagine you feel so much better about yourself. ^_^


Caleb came online early. More time with him. ^_^  hes taking a shower right now. Maybe a cold one because of me. 
And I was told I can use the pool at the hotel Caleb stayed at. So the swimsuit wont be packed away. I wish Caleb could join me.

The paperwork aftermath is not fun, but having the legal name change is a wonderful feeling! Congrats!

What was wrong with it?

Two broken strings and i'm totally inept at these things. I already changed my guitar-playing style again. Quite mellow and clean. Not as psychedelic-sounding as before.

Today there was nothing to be happy about. Just getting more and more suicidal.
