Thanks for sharing - this put a smile on my face. :)

One question...

Will you ask your mom to adopt me?

I would like to ask the same question.

Lol I'll have to ask
"For transpeople, using the right pronoun is NOT simply a 'political correctness' issue. It's core to the entire struggle transpeople go through. Using the wrong pronoun means 'I don't recognize you as who you are.' It means 'I think you're confused, delusional, or mentally I'll.'. It means 'you're not important enough for me to acknowledge your struggle.'"

It is a funny, nice story.  Shopping stories -- there should be a mega-thread for shopping stories.  :)

As Zoe said, momness is an unusual state.  And what I would like to know, will she still want to go shopping with you when you go full time?  I hope she will.

My own mom is no longer alive, so I do not know how she would have reacted.

But I have always had pleasant shopping experiences with my partner.  I give her a lot of credit.
All great things are simple, and many can be expressed in single words: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope.

Glad everyone liked it.

My mom has made it clear that she wants to "teach" me how to shop.

I'm just going to go with it.

Whenever I have shopped with my mum in the past it was never for clothes mainly birthday and christmas gift shopping, getting new pillows or just a day out.

Haven't really shopped since I came out but it wouldn't change and also she doesn't go out to often due to some health issues.

I also tend to stick to online shopping now for everything(except dvds and games) I haven't been in a changing room in like 2 years let alone since coming out, even if I thought of doing it I wouldn't as I'd be to worried about cameras.

Good to know you had a mostly pleasant time. It can only get better, just hope she acknowledges your taste in clothing when 'teaching' you.
