Physicals, hairless body and tan lines.

Just want to ask some that may have been through this before. I have a physical coming up this week one of those with turn your head and cough deals. I hate body hair 1. because of the heat and I don't sweat near as much as if I look like a gorilla and 2 it just don't feel as clean. I also have been tanning but like in Brazil with no top so the only tan lines I have is on the bottom but it is skimpy because I wear bikini underwear so if planes fly over there is reall nothing to see. I do this mainly so my body can produce vitamin D naturally and not to mention pink polish and white shorts look good with dark skin.

My worry is, what will the doctor think? I live in a somewhat conservative area, lot of catholics. I thought that I had a couple of months before the physical and would have grown my hair, ugh. But it snuck up on me big time. Has anyone else had any experience with something similar to this? and what was the outcome?

You're transgender. Be proud. Transgender is nothing to be ashamed of. We endure hardships the rest of the population don't even dream of. We understand both sides of gender divide in ways no one else does.

Being transgender means we are wise and tough. Wear it proudly.

I doubt if doctors care much.  They've seen it all.

Yes!  Tell your doctor you are transgender, and identify as a woman. I have painted toes, frequently wear ladies or mixed gender clothes, and am getting laser on my face. I had a back injury recently, and had to go to the doc for the first time since coming out.  I had a lot of anxiety. I told him straight out without pulling any punches "I am transgender, please let me know if you are willing to treat me" and he did not blink an eye. He only asked "I thought you were here for a back problem?" and then said he had no problems at all, and I was not the first TG patient he had.

You don't have to say anything about it.  I can't imagine a doctor making a comment about it because that would be unprofessional.  If they do ask, you are free to tell them, but don't have to.  It really shouldn't matter unless it has something to do with your overall health.  Otherwise, it shouldn't be brought it.  But, you can mention it and feel comfortable about it as doctors are supposed to keep patient information private.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Some have relieved my mind and others have pointed to the same thing that I feel, and that is it's not really the doctor's business. So I guess if any rude or crude remarks are made, then I can handle it accordingly. The bad thing is that the physical has to be done for my occupation. I mean good god, can't they ask me if I have a hernia? I should know, right? Anyway, ya'll have relieved my mind. I probably won't out and out say that I am transgendered even if asked, I would probably just say it's none of their business. Unless the doctors seems like he likes transgender girls, and then I may not have to work anymore. (joke) 😉
