My rather old IPod has died, finally, so I went to buy another and ended up with the above, $AUS49 so a lot cheaper than an IPod Nano which was my choice.

I'm trying to load music on it from CDs etc and no way can I.

I'm using Windows 7 and have downloaded the software etc.

Anyone have a clue to what is going on?

The instructions say, load the CD into the computer and the MP4 will come up with Rip CD and just do it. It ain't happening!!!!!

WT!!!!

might be a codec thing. if you're using windows media player to rip discs it defaults to WMA. it'll probably place the ripped content in your my music folder and the mp4 player should show up like a usb storage stick.

OK thanks Sis,

I'll give that a go, it (software) did ask stuff about what media I wanted to record CDs, I said the MP4 stuff thinking that was the way to go. I was just thinking that Mr Gates wouldn't allow that!

If you're still having trouble, just send me a pm and I might be able to help you. I'm really good with computers.

Also...are you using windows media player to rip/sync your music? If so...don't, instead get media monkey. Media player is notorious for putting multiples of the same song into your MP3 player; trust me I know from experience...
