In other news at the Friday work session, Council members continued discussion about a local expansion of anti-discrimination rules.

They agreed last month to pursue a ban on workplace discrimination that's based on sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status or family status. The measure also would ban discrimination of that nature in places of public accommodation, such as restaurants.
